It was a privilege to be able to address delegates at the 2019 MSPNG Annual Medical Symposium in Port Moresby. We all have much to learn from each other, and with each other, and I hope that my presentation on the role of the Australian and New Zealand Medical Colleges working with our colleagues in PNG contributed to that process. As always, the hospitality was warm, humbling, and fondly remembered.
Dr. Rodney Mitchell
I was impressed with the people who attended and the presentations I heard during the PNG 2019 Medical Symposium. Papua New Guinea has some hard working health professionals and innovative researchers who will play a major role in improving community health. I was honoured to present work I had done with my colleagues in Papua New Guinea on oral health policies for PNG.

It was my great honor to accept an invitation to give the opening Keynote Address at the 55th Annual Symposium of the Medical Society of Papua New Guinea. The conference was well organized and exceptionally well-led. The magnificent conference venue at the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby accommodated plenary and concurrent sessions very well and afforded a relaxed and open setting for participants.
